Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, with 4MOTION® all-wheel drive with active control available. At a maximum, the new Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport boasts a 5,000-lb towing capacity when equipped with the V6. 

 

Interior 

 

The two-row VW Atlas Cross Sport has a very large cabin with quite a bit of head and legroom that up to five people will appreciate. Cloth upholstery is standard, but synthetic leather is available. Upgrades include a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. This VW SUV offers ample cargo room-at a maximum, there is 77.8 cubic feet of storage volume.
